Minutes

Present: Dave Boyce, Kristi Schuck, Anne Ganey, Shelly Schulz, Tony Filipovitch

Dave reported on the Regional Forums.

  • First forum last night went well.  22 people in attendance.  Coverage in Free Press this morning.
  • We need to seek funding for the forums (marketing, PO Box, mailing, website, possibly mileage & honorarium for speakers)
  • Regional Forum group could use another student rep to develop campus/youth presence.

Dave also suggested that we seek a report from the Rasmussen Woods group to post to our website.

Tony reported on Envision 2020

  • Diversity of group has been holding up.
  • Have begun to randomly assign participants to discussion groups and leadership roles, to increase diversity of viewpoints
  • Need to address issue of maintaining the group after the process closes out, to keep energy going.  Citizens’ Voices could host it, if a home is needed.
  • Need to get word out that people are still welcome to come to the Envision 2020 meetings.
  • Publicity committee has a TV program which is now airing the day after each meeting.  Also, news release stressing that it is crucial that wide representation comes.  Now have over 400 names on distribution list.

Anne announced that the YWCA is hosting two programs:
