Citizens’ Voices Minutes

April 4, 2007

Present: Tony, Dave, Mike, Bill, Malda, Tim

Story Core: seven individuals attended the primarily brainstorming meeting.

Mike was selected as Chair. They decided to identify the mission & the goals. They will also make connections with people who are already documenting the "histories".

The Thro company is very interested and might be an additional funding source.

There was an update on the Cray House.

Tony placed an advertisement in The Free Press for $280 publicizing our activities.

The Seven Revolutions presentation is on April 11th. If a person has not reregistered, s/he might not be able to get in. It is at 9:30 am in the Ostrander Auditorium of the Student Union at MSU.

The Regional Forum on the railroads went very well. The non confrontational but informational points of view seem to shed more light on the subject matter.

ON Tuesday, the 24th of April, a program will be held at the Fire Station on Howard Drive in North Mankato. It is on "Why Eat Locally Grown Food". Greg Lesard is in charge. Please watch for more information. Tony, what is the time of this program?

The Civic Engagement topic is on hold until this summer. The aim is to be prepared for the presentation in November with plans for both pre & post presentation citizen involvement.

Next meeting is on Wednesday, April 18th, at the Coffee Hag.
