Steering Committee Meeting
12 November 2004
Present: John, Anne, Bill,
Tony, Malda.
Correction: the the next quarterly meeting is on December 2nd, Thursday, at
7:00 pm.
I believe this to be the
status at this time:
1. Deb was able to get an
appropriate room at the
2. None of the panel
participants has responded favorably yet.
3. Anne will create the
flyers with the details of the meeting.
4. Tony will distribute them
as was done previously.
5. Tony will check with Steffan on his success in working with the International
Student Office.
6. Anne will e-mail Katie to
see what she might need in terms of equipment for her portion of the
program.
Anne reported on the Rassmussen Woods group. They have met with the newly hired
person working for the schools who will be taking over the nature center. The
question now is will the group work with just the nature center or with the
park as a whole. At present 6 members participated but if they began to work on
projects to maintain or improve the park then more would be recruited.
Tony & Bill have
reviewed a video, "The Last of Suburbia". It is of sufficient concern
that perhaps CV needs to work on the concerns. The public health seminar that
Anne attended shares the same concerns. Tony will set up a showing for those of
us who have not seen it. Much discussion followed which is too complicated
& tenuous to be published at this time.
We did not set the next
meeting date.
