Citizens’ Voices Steering Committee Minutes

December 9, 2005

Present: Shelly Schulz, Malda Farnham, Diane Norland, David Boyce, Mahyanti Johnson, Anne Ganey, Tony Filipovitch, Cecile, Bill Bernhagen, Namibia Little

Tony will be sending a letter reviewing the year for CV & encouraging folks to attend the first meeting of Envision 2020 on January 5th.

Tony will divide the CV recipients into sections so that each of us will have a calling list to contact to encourage our members to attend.

· Anna Thill will e-mail the recipient organizations of the United Way to attend the meeting.

· Malda will get information to Truman Wood on Envision 20/20.

· Diane will do the same to the Ministerial Association.

· Tony will talk to David Engen to do that for the Univeristy.

· Shelly will put flyers in the school mailboxes.

· Cecil will get information to the international women at Lincoln. We would like to hold a special meeting there.

Shelly Schulz reported on the meeting of the Marketing Group. They have planned:

target mailings, big media blitz, Christi will do future story, create media kits.

What happens on the night that we get there? Need event ideas. Create a mural & sign in. 1st meeting will be a buffet.

David Boyce has spoken with Lucy Lowry & received a list of names of previously interested people in the North Mankato Series. He thinks that the group will have enough names to form a good committee.

David also reported that the viewing platform is ready for Rassmusen Woods. It will be erected near the Troost Pond.

Next meeting is this Friday at 8:00 am at the Cafe Hag. We will grab a list of names to call & pick up flyers to deliver.
