Dave reported on the Regional Forum. The NM Library would prefer not to be mentioned in any publicity on the programs.

Dave will ask for $500 from the Mankato Foundation for expenses such as mailing, copying, etc. He is also thinking of asking for money from regional committees as well as putting out a "tip jar" at the sessions themselves.

Another option is the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation. Bill would send a supporting letter Drafts of all solicitation letters will be presented at the next meeting.

After much discussion on the new BE county law center, we reached a consensus the we could not wait for the Envision 2020 process to be completed to begin public meetings on this the consequences of this move.

Dave suggested that instead of referring to the core area as the "downtown", we call it the "valley". We also thought that changing the area to include everything from Madison to Stoltzman and from 6th St., Mankato to Spring (?) in North Mankato, as suggested at the Envision 2020 group, was an outstanding idea.

Bill will discuss this possibiilty with the Envision 2020 steering committee.
